Melissa and Chris are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and their wedding was full of so much joy and many happy tears! After Melissa and her bridesmaids were done getting ready on site in the stunning, bright Stonefields Inn, she prepared to see her groom-to-be for the first time before officially getting married. Chris and his groomsmen got ready on site at the Badchild Pub across the laneway while sports played in the background as they pinned their boutonierres on. Shortly after they were both finished getting ready, Chris headed to the tree covered laneway for their first look before for their ceremony. Chris’ reaction to seeing Melissa in her wedding gown was priceless. His face lit up with pure happiness. It was clear to us that Chris and Melissa’s family play a really large role in their lives. Chris’ mom shed a few happy tears as she happily walked her son down the aisle to marry the woman of his dreams. After their beautiful outdoor ceremony facing the charming heritage home on site at Stonefields Estate, everyone headed to the courtyard to mingle and enjoy some mixed drinks and gourmet canapés before heading into reception portion of their big day. Melissa and Chris did an amazing job translating their vision into a beautiful, elegant reception with soft tones of blue, mauve and green. After a decadent plated dinner, the wedding guests enjoyed dancing under the string lights and cozying up to the outdoor fire pit watching the little fireflies light the sky around them. We loved getting to know Melissa and Chris, and I wish them every happiness as they begin their married life together!

We just loved being a part of Daphnee and Greg's TwentyTwo by the Westin wedding – it was so full of joy and laughter! And being able to photograph all of the gorgeous details created by Wedecor was a treat as well. Daphnee and Greg chose early September for their wedding, which is a beautiful time of year in Ottawa. The ceremony itself took place at Billings Estate Museum which features a touch of history combined with mature gardens. They exchanged their emotionally packed vows in front of a custom arbour installation surrounded by their closest family and friends. Following the ceremony, we took the opportunity to maximize the couple’s portrait time in the heart of our beautiful city with the iconic Fairmont Chateau Laurier as our backdrop. The sky-high bright reception at TwentyTwo was located on __ floor overlooking the cityscape of Ottawa. The timeless elegant decor inspiration was cohesively executed throughout their reception space featuring tall candelabra centrepieces, soft floral arrangements and romantic candlelight. Daphnee and Greg’s wedding day was the perfect mixture of elegance and history combining two very close knit families.

I loved being back at Evermore for Maxime and Corey’s Fall wedding! Evermore has quickly become one of my all-time favorite wedding venues, and it is easy to see why. The grounds change quite a bit with the seasons, so there is always a different look and feel each time I’m there. Maxime and Corey had beautiful weather on their big day, so the wheat field was glistening and the gardens were bright, lush and fragrant. The couple exchanged vows under a beautifully styled arbour by Acanthus Florals in the courtyard overlooking the picturesque views of the countryside. They then dined inside under the luxurious barn under soft candlelight and crystal chandeliers with their guests as they lovingly listened to heart felt speeches from their closest family and friends. We ended the night off by capturing the newlyweds during golden hour as the sunset perfectly over the rolling hills.

Valentina and Didier's Stonefields Estate rustic wedding was one of our favourites from our 2019 wedding season. Not only was it absolutely gorgeous and planned to perfection by The Gathering Event Company, but this couple could not have been sweeter or easier to work with! Valentina and Didier got married inside Stonefield Estate’s new, bright Ceremony House on site. The couple decided to exchange letters and gifts before their ceremony, which gave us additional wedding prep photo opportunities as they read through their heart felt letters and exchanged personal gifts privately. The ceremony took place in front of the grand fireplace surrounded by an incredible lush floral installation. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and canapés while mingling on their picturesque grounds before heading into their reception. The wine flowed as the couple and their guests enjoyed a truly luxurious dining experience in the gorgeous white-washed barn. The speeches and toasts were quite emotional, but after shedding a few happy tears, the couple kicked off the party with the best dance moves I’ve seen to date!

This editorial shoot was very East Coast inspired pulling elements from the chateau’s rustic elegance, the serene beach and soft tones from the bridal gown. The beach elements pair effortlessly while still feeling very elegant and romantic.
Harbour Mist, the beautiful chateau located on a hill overlooking the ocean in Hubbard’s, Nova Scotia makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a vacation home in the South of France. Paperocelot's stationary, scrolls and place cards give guests the luxurious first impression. The invitation suite included a hand drawn illustration of Harbour Mist, giving guests that perfect sneak peek into the beautiful wedding ahead.
The tablescape was set using the chateau as a backdrop. It was the perfect backdrop for this simple yet elegant table setting. Everything was soft & airy, using dried bleached ruscus, dried eucalyptus and other wild grasses from the oceanside allowed for that. The soft tones of the florals kept the tablescape light. The scalloped edge wooden chargers and napkin rings were the perfect touch to tie in the driftwood beach feel. The brass candlestick holders with sandstone coloured candlesticks and gold cutlery kept the tablescape warm against the cooler tones of the sea. Each place setting had a beautiful hand torn menu and velum scroll with dusty blue calligraphy.
The accent of dusty blue of course was inspired from the ocean but also from the amazing bridal gown from Katrina Tuttle Bridal. This gown was a fully customized gown with layers of dusty blue and grey tulle underneath the skirt. The subtle colour tied in perfectly without over powering the timeless location.
The bridal bouquet was full of bleached ruscus and textured florals allowing brides to see an alternative to bouquets filled with greenery. The dried elements and wildflowers complimented the roses and other florals perfectly. The white bouquet stood out against the soft blue and grey in the bridal gown with the ocean backdrop.
Instead of a dessert table, Scrumdiddlyumptious Meals catered an exemplary assortment of seafood perfect for the ultimate coastal wedding. The scallops were decadently tossed in butter and garnished with red chilis for an extra pop of color and taste. The lobster, oysters and mussels were professionally prepared and a delicious touch to the evening.

Katie and Mitch’s countryside Stonefield Estate wedding this summer was absolutely breathtaking! Their day blended a relaxed vintage farm house aesthetic with the whitewashed ceremony house and barn that overlooked the sprawling countryside on the outskirts of Ottawa, Ontario. It was full of sophisticated details, with soft and lush florals, blending in a mixture of Jewish traditions and details seamlessly. Styled with Love Wedding Design meticulously took care of every detail from the floral installation around the Chuppah to wrapping the mother of the bride’s old wedding gown fabric around Katie’s bridal bouquet. There was no cultural or family heirlooms left untouched which made for a truly emotional sentiment for the newlyweds. Immediately after the ceremony, the excited couple walked together hand in hand back up the aisle as husband and wife while their family and friends lovingly cheered for them. While their guests enjoyed mingling with mixed drinks and gourmet canapés, we toured the extensive grounds photographing these love birds everywhere. Everywhere from the open fields, strolling down Stonefields Estate's picturesque pathways to the iconic Loft reception barn. The possibility for portrait locations on site are endless!
We always adore working with such kind, relaxed couples and Kate and Mitch are the best! They are just genuine and admirable people who truly were present and enjoyed every part of their day, making our job as photographers so easy!
