Who doesn’t enjoy a good love story? I know I love all of the cheesy rom-com movies and swoon over an elderly couple still just as in love as they were when they got married decades ago. Needless to say, I just needed to know how Tony popped a question that would alter their lives together.
When I recently asked Rayane how Tony proposed to her, she told me:
“We were in Guelph and were getting ready to head back to Ottawa. Tony tells me he has a surprise for me. I jokingly ask is it ice cream!? It turns out it was exactly that, and then some.
He took me back to an ice cream shop in St. Thomas, Ontario called Shaw’s Ice Cream. It was where we had our first date! We’re both ice cream lovers so it being 10am in the morning was no problem at all. I really did not see anything coming! I was just blown away that we were going back to a place where such sweet early memories were created.
We went in, picked out our ice cream flavours and he told me he had one more surprise for me…
Very honestly I was expecting sprinkles!!
I look over and there he was down on one knee with the ring box popped open… and the rest is just a blur of laughs and “Oh my God” and of course a great big yes!”
How adorable is that? We couldn’t be more thrilled to be capturing your big day later this Spring Rayane and Tony!
Here are a few super sweet frames from their winter engagement session alongside the Rideau Canal here in Ottawa.
