Welcome to our blog where we share everything from recent weddings and engagements, to our amazing adventures as a family of four. When we aren’t photographing weddings, our family is traveling the world, decorating our new home in Ottawa, Ontario or snuggled up watching movies with our basset hound, Georgia. We love working with joyous couples and absolutely cannot wait to tell your story!

When Catherine first laid eyes on Tommy, she had no idea that a beautiful adventure was about to begin. The game of basketball brought these two love birds together. They both spent their childhood, youth and early adult years competing in basketball tournaments and championships. Both played for rival universities before Tommy transferred to Catherine’s school so they could both play and study alongside each other. On a sunshine filled August day, their family and friends gathered in front of the camera of this thrilled Ottawa photographer to celebrate the moment they finally said, “I do.”

The morning was all celebration and laughter. The bride’s mom savoured the moments with her daughter as she helped her into her first gown of the day. Catherines bridal party doted on her, ensuring heir veil was perfectly placed before she walked down the aisle to marry her best friend. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen gathered at a hotel downtown Ottawa to prepare for the big day. Once the men were dressed, Tommy sat quietly reading the letter Catherine carefully crafted for him. When the final boutonniere was pinned and the last curl was hair-sprayed, the time had arrived to head to the ceremony venue.

Escorted by her father down the aisle surrounded by pristine golf greens, Catherine glistened in her radiant lace and tulle gown. Catherine and Tommy shared intimate and personal vows, expressing their love and commitments to one another.

Under the expert guidance of the wedding coordinator Marianne McLeish from Heirloom Events, the talented vendors painted a soft romantic scene. The fairytale inspired floral arrangements by Katherine Mccloskey of Pollen Nation Floral Studio, cohesively paired organic textures and tones in the ceremony arbour, tablescape and bridal bouquet. The tablescape, lined with greenery, soft pale pink candles and bud vases filled with garden inspired florals brought the outdoors in.

Congrats again to the both of you!
